Welcome to the Last Rights Roleplay Server. This server is a new community server that values Roleplay over the regular PVE/PVP. This means we do not want kill on sight interactions without some kind of roleplay coming first. The same goes for raids and robbery in the PVP environment you need to have a reason beyond just wanting loot. Offline raid protection to help assist there being a chance to defend your bases from attacks with a long hold time on vehicles of 30 days for the more casual gamer. Because this is a new server we have our slots set low at this time but will increase that based on the server needs and activity to just keep costs down. Currently we do not run a BOT to assist with commands and work with the server but we are considering looking into one pending server popularity and population. Since this is a new server as it grows means active players could earn up into the Moderator status as the population increases.
Storyline: Last Rights was a gameshow that was ran by the billionaire class, using the advantages of cloning technology to keep their favorite "contestants" alive. The design of the BCU chips that are installed in the back of the head have several functions. First is keeping track of all the data the body needs, second in keeping a clone ready for their eventual death to be respawned again and third an explosive that will kill them should they attempt to leave the locked down area of the island. Back then mechs and drones were abundant patrolling the military districts and factories. The show ran like no other, investors paying to control puppets through remote consoles into attacking the contestants on the island. An unknown rebel force got involved against what was called TEC01 on the island fighting to free its contestants and remove their BCU chips this ran for a course of a few years before everything came to a halt with lawsuits shutting the program down. As far as the public knows everyone was freed from the show and released. Digging for such evidence comes up thin with any information or results.
The down time has lasted a couple of years now, most have forgotten the show or just didn't care enough to pay attention to it anyways. Spending too much time arguing about between themselves on trivial matters. No longer any drones seen flying over the island but it remains in lockdown with dropships going in and out of the island space assumingly cleaning up the area. Radiation remains burning somewhere on the eastern side of the lockdown clouding the area with smoke and a toxic taste to the air. The puppets that originally were controlled by paying customers of the show now wander aimlessly hording up in areas around the island. Something has happened though some say its a cyber virus within the BCU seems to connect puppets together getting them to wander in large groups seeking out anything that moves or makes enough noise to attract them.
As a new arrival to Last Rights no matter if your criminal or innocent the same can be recalled from most. That they were ambushed and black bagged before they woke up in a free fall over the island. Others drugged and waking up the same way wearing the classic jumpsuits from the gameshow. Though the radio system across the island still functions it only allows inward communications within the tall walls all communication outside has been jammed. Mechs are no longer walking about and drones no where to be seen. Now its just the hordes to watch out for ready to rush and rip into the unfortunates that find them. Over the years though time has not done them well they are soft and clumsy sometimes even tripping to their own deaths. The problem is the numbers they gather and once alerted can become a serious threat rushing in and ripping apart the survivors.
It leaves the lingering question of what is going on, why are you here, who did you piss off in the minds of the prisoner. The fresh BCU chips collecting their data and not even letting death save them.
