Last Rights Storyline
Chapter One
Sanboia Isle was home to many people and residents scattered between several towns and even a pair of cities on the island’s habitable side. People there lived their everyday lives, until one day, a businessman showed up on the island offering money to buy up property and land. Nobody took to the offer, the man was determined to get what he wanted, he warned everyone that one day the island would be his.
Three months later a swarm of helicopters bearing the logo “TEC01” was scattered across the island. They were forcing people to evacuate, taking children, the elderly and anyone else they could capture. Many people ran and went into hiding on the island as well. Soon after their initial arrival the military force known as TEC01 started to occupy almost every important location, they stopped all transport on and off of the island.
The next few months military camps, bunkers, the large border walls, floating buoys and large remotely operated machines called Sentries were being built with a fleet of drones that scattered across the island looking for survivors and others that went into hiding. It did not seem to matter where they were hiding, the drones seemed to be able to locate them. People sleeping were waking up sore with an implant fixated into the back of their head. Everyone with the implant started to see things like an information database on things that they examined from what uses it could have to even its properties of what vitamins they offered.
A few months after the bunkers were completed, those brave enough to get close, could hear strange sounds coming from them. There seemed to be at least one bunker in every sector of the island. One morning those doors opened and people staggered out of it. The devices, known as BCU, in the back of the heads of those that exited the bunker all had one thing in common: they were red. Those once known as residents of the island among others seemed different as if they were no longer alive. Radio stations that had been dead for a long time suddenly cracked alive loudly “Welcome to the Last Rights Game Show! Where you fight for your Life! This is your host John Dick”. With that the bunker gates opened and all of what would soon be referred to as puppets charged out through them.
The planes followed after, large cargo sized planes with the logo “TEC01” flying overhead. Some were dropping large containers that were scattered across the island once they crashed the sides fell apart and horde’s of puppets charged out. Others seemed to drop people in parachutes dressed in orange inmate uniforms labeled as “SCUM” which deemed the island by its second name Scum Prison Island.
The Radio followed with the parachutes coming down onto the island. “We have volunteers from all around, all sorts of criminals, house wives, farmers, police, even former members of the military all looking for the sport and competition. Don't worry prisoners, TEC01 will remain as well to maintain some order, with just one rule, no one leaves the Island or your implant might just… Well I am sure some of you will find out! Lets not reveal all our exciting news but don't think that death will be the end for you! Oh and if you have any questions be sure to bring it to the TEC01, they are meant to help you!”
TEC01 was later dispatched and all of the important areas were flushed out the airports, the factories, even the island prison. Leaving behind Sentries and soldiers to keep people out of hiding in those locations. Those that resisted, were meant with confusion they remembered resisting followed by falling out of a large plane in nothing but an inmate jumpsuit and parachute. During this time was when everyone understood that TEC01 could not be trusted.
Time sort of got lost after this, fighting for survival, most would continue to flee, scrounge for food and hide out of sight of one another. Though they are out there, somewhere, the drones provided live feed of the show to those not involved. On one of the largest, highest rated, shows of its time featuring the lives and deaths of so many.
Months after the announcement of the show is when things took a turn for the worse. One morning the Sentries all across the island seemed to shut down. They booted up again shortly after, retaining their patrol routes in those facilities they once guarded but it became obvious they were all affected by some kind of artificial virus. They opened fire on TEC01 employees, killing many, while sending survivors scattering away from those guarded facilities and bunkers.
TEC01 led raids on some of the bunkers destroying the sentries there and storming those bunkers. Those that went in though, never came back out. Most now are in hiding, watching, now living the same life the residents are. No one knows if they are still in charge but everyone knows they are responsible for what happened. Everyone agreed to one thing though, no one of TEC01 should be trusted. At the same time though TEC01 was the only ones continuing to send supplies into the island by drones and large airdropped containers, containers that explode after being on the ground
for a short time.
